Mother/Daughter Project

Since the moment I found out I was pregnant with Bridget I had such a strong connection to her. I knew nothing about her yet I already knew I had unconditional love for someone that was part me, part Mike. As soon as she was born, the doctor placed her on my chest and she was so alert and content that she didn’t even cry. I remember her staring at me and feeling an overwhelming sense of bond that all of my fears went out the window.

This bond between my daughter and I has inspired me to begin a project of mothers and daughters of the community and to tell their story through a single photograph. I will begin on Mother’s Day 2014 and end on Mother’s Day 2015.

If you would like to be a part of this project and for more information, please send your stories to angela@harlowbliss.com.

As a mother to two beautiful daughters I can understand the amazing bond you have. I wasn’t one to envision being a mother much when I was young. The few times I thought about it I always imagined boys but these two girls have been such an amazing adventure. I will relish all the moments to come.ReplyCancel
